Needless to say, many hours were spent shoveling the 19 inches of snow that had fallen overnight. My husband still had to go in to work, so after we shoveled the back stairs and yard, he strapped on a pair of snowshoes and headed to the train. He's standing in the middle of the street in this photo. Those snowshoes were a great idea!
Our street this morning |
The reason she's hard to see is because it was still snowing and blowing. |
On our way back from the walk we passed many cars snowed in and even stalled out and buried in snow in the middle of the street.
Gypsy didn't mind the blizzard at all. She ate lots of snow which meant that I had to take her out every couple of hours so she could go to the bathroom. She must have eaten gallons of water!
Notice the icicles on her mouth from all that snow eating. |

I'm an hour north and got hit too. It was actually kind of exciting! The kids played outside, my neighbors plowed my driveway for me, and we had a fun family day!
Glad to hear that Kelly. I found it exciting too! I bet the kids had a blast!
Gypsy is so adorable, and I love your street view photos. We had a great snow day with sledding, tunneling, board games, and hot cocoa and the girls will always remember it fondly, I'm sure!
Ha, Gypsy looks so cute with the snow on her mouth.
I can't believe Dan had to work on Wednesday. The morning was still blizzardy.
Those pictures are fabulous!! I love the one of Gypsy with her snow beard. Hilarious!!!
Our neighborhood looks much the same, but you already know that since we live four blocks from each other. :)
Heather - Glad to hear you guys had fun and I love the sound of cocoa. Great idea!
Dottie - Gypsy was really happy to plow through the snow with her face in it. Funny! By the way, Dan rode his bike to work on wednesday, too.
Tabitha - I love it that you called it Gypsy's snowbeard! That's what it was!
The snowshoes were a great idea, the spaghetti sauce looks yummy, and Gypsy and the snowbeard is just too cute for words. We are experiencing freezing rain this evening and the roads are extremely slick.
Oh,SM, the freezing rain doesn't sound good. Be careful if you have to go out! Waiting for spring!
